Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RPGVoices ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Account Terms

You must provide a valid email address and create a password to register for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Subscription & Billing

RPGVoices offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe, our payment processor. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Profile page. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion. Pricing is subject to change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate audio that impersonates real individuals without their consent
  • Create content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Use the Service for any automated or systematic data collection without prior written consent
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

5. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses Google Gemini AI to generate audio. AI-generated audio may not perfectly reproduce the intended tone, pronunciation, or emphasis. We do not guarantee the accuracy or quality of AI-generated content. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving any generated audio before use.

6. Content Ownership & Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the text content you upload or paste into the Service. You retain the right to use audio generated from your text content for personal and, where your subscription tier permits, commercial purposes. RPGVoices does not claim ownership of your uploaded text or generated audio. You grant RPGVoices a limited license to process your text solely for the purpose of generating audio. RPGVoices and its logo, design, and branding are the property of RPGVoices. The underlying voice models are provided by Google and are subject to Google's terms of service.

7. Usage Limits

Each subscription tier includes monthly character limits and storage quotas as described on the Pricing page. Character usage resets on the first day of each calendar month (UTC). Unused characters do not roll over to the next month. We reserve the right to enforce rate limits to ensure fair use of the Service.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from Service downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RPGVoices and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through the Profile page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy following account termination.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
